Loin Eye Carcass Ultrasound Scanning: Saturday, June 11 • 2-4 p.m.
The Spicy Lamb Farm will be hosting a carcass ultrasound workshop for the Northcoast Lamb Co-Op as an OEFFA event. Reservations required.
This workshop will educate sheep producers about the value of using ultrasound, not only for selecting breeding stock, but to set required muscle quality attributes necessary to produce a higher quality product. Funded through a grant from SARE, the Northcoast Lamb Co-Op is using carcass ultrasound of lamb crops for market acceptance and to measure muscle quality deficiencies for improvement. Join us to learn more about this technology.
